Midlothian - Voluntary Organisations

This is a list of some of the voluntary organisations, community groups, social enterprises, and charities based in, working in, and/or providing a service for residents of Midlothian.

There are well over 400 voluntary sector organisations, community groups, charities and social enterprises based in and/or working in Midlothian, most of whom do not have websites. In addition, we do not have details of all the Midlothian websites that do exist. We apologise if we have left your website out - if you would like information about your website added (or want a link changed or removed), please contact our Information Officer, tel: 0131 663 9471, or send us a message here. Please also contact our Information Officer if any of the links no longer work (they did work when added!)

In addition, if you would like your organisation listed here, but do not have a website, please let us have a contact telephone number (not an email address as that may invite spam). Further information resources are listed at the foot of this page.

Please note that while we believe that all the groups listed are part of the voluntary sector it is possible that some are not (in particular, it is possible that some Sports Clubs are private) - please let us know if this is the case of any of the groups below.

Disclaimer: these links were checked when they were put on this page. However, web pages change, and websites close down. Please advise us if the links are not working or if the web address is no longer used by the group named.

Further information

MVA Resource Guide - http://resguide.mvacvs.org.uk/

Scottish Charity Register - www.oscr.org.uk - you can search for all charities that list their operating area and/or address as Midlothian (however, this excludes national, regional, and some other charities who work in Midlothian but do not have a Midlothian postal address and who work in more than one council area). Note: that a number of charities who are neither based in, or working in, Midlothian show up in any search because they have included Midlothian in their postal address, for example, some charities in Edinburgh, Musselburgh, Kirkliston, Balerno.
