On this website we have split the information section into four main sections:

• Organisational - setting up and running a group or organisation, including Charity Law, Governance, Management etc, and where to go for more information and advice.
• Topics - information on different fields of work, for example, advice and benefits, equalities, community engagement, domestic violence etc.
• Resource Guide - online database of many organisations which operate in Midlothian.
• Links - a selection of useful links.

MVA hold a number of publications, videos etc in our Meeting Room. Details of the publications we hold, plus other useful publications and websites, are currently being compiled.  As these are completed, they will be added to this website under the relevant topic heading.   If you want a look at our resources, please get in touch with Margaret Nisbet, Information Officer, to arrange a time.

Midlothian Voluntary Action e-mails and e-briefings

The Information Officer holds e-mail lists for a number of subjects, for example, Charity Law, Equalities, Rural, Transport etc. A regular “Midlothian Info” e-briefing is produced with details of organisations and events in Midlothian, and of interest to local groups.  In addition, occasional e-briefings are produced for some of the e-mail lists, for example, Children and Charity Law. E-briefings are also produced, in particular “Midlothian Info” but also occasional single subject ones - see archive section for previous issues and a full list of e-mail lists.
